Community of Acts

THE CORE VALUES OF THE COMMUNITY OF "ACTS"

PURPOSE & MISSION STATEMENT ACTS 2:42:

"They devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching, and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread, and to prayer."

WE DEVOTE & PROMISE TO

ACT IN THE WORLD

CALL THE WORLD

TEACH THE WORLD

SERVE THE WORLD

IN THE NAME OF JESUS CHRIST!

Act = Act in the name of Jesus Christ. Accepting the call of Jesus Christ to serve in the Mission Field. Act as a devoted servant in the House of the Lord. Share in the fellowship of the Great Commission, and the foundations that bring all of us to the foot of the cross, and to the Lord's table.

Call = Call all of God's children to seek out a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Call the world to join us at the table of our Lord Jesus Christ, reaching out to them to join in the breaking of the bread of Jesus Christ together. Calling out to all those that are alone, or hurting, and in need of the comforting love of Jesus Christ, that they are not alone, and that they are loved.

Teach = Teach the world in word and action, of the love of Jesus Christ through the teaching of the word of God. Using the scriptures to offer a path for all the children of God to come into the presence of the Father, and see His face!

Serve = Serve all of God's children in the mission field, sharing the loving Salvation of Jesus Christ and the power of the Holy Spirit, at all times, to all people, everywhere you go, and always in His name!!!

THE 5 TRUTHS OF A GROWING FAITH COMMUNITY & CHURCH

A Great Commitment to the Great Commandment and the Great Commission will grow a Great Church! (Matt. 22:37-40 & Matt. 28: 19-20)

Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mindLove your neighbor as yourself. All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.

Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.

While we wait for God to work for us, God is waiting to work through us!

When we give freely of ourselves, and open our hearts, souls and minds we become teachable. God can then work in our lives so that in time we can do God's will and work in the lives of others. Act, Call, Teach and Serve!

It is not our job to do God's job, however, it is our calling to be in ministry and service to our Lord, and a tool in his hand! Act, Call, Teach and Serve!

+++++++++++

Our world is filled with lonely people who are starving for the affirmation of a loving touch. We need to be ready to act in a loving manner to those people that are wounded and in need of the Love of Jesus!

To believers, Jesus says, "Go!" But to those that are lost in the world, Jesus says, Come!" John 1:39 & Matthew 11:28 & John 7:37

When a couple of inquirers wanted to know about Jesus, he replied, "Come and you will see."

Jesus said to the seekers, "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest."

Jesus stood and said, "If anyone is thirsty, let him come to me and drink."

We invite all to "Come and see!" To our faith community, our core, we say "Go and tell!"

5 Dimensions of Church Growth

Churches grow warmer through fellowship.

Churches grow deeper through discipleship.

Churches grow stronger through worship.

Churches grow broader through ministry.

Churches grow larger through evangelism.

Matthew 23: 9-12

"But you are not to be called teacher and rabbi, for you have one teacher, and you are the students. And call no one your father on earth, for you have one Fatherthe one in heaven. Nor are you to be called instructors, for you have one instructor, the Messiah. The greatest among you will be your servant. All who exalt themselves will be humbled, and all who humble themselves will be exalted."
